Maintaining constant geostationary orbit almost directly over Nelson's Column, Starbase Europa is Starfleet's Main Communication Hub and clearing house for every signal received from ships, facilities and planets right across the Federation - and beyond.

Replacing Starfleet's former "floating office block", SB Europa is a fully-fledged Ournal Class Facility and also serves as an alternative Home Port to Terramain SpaceDock for many Starfleet vessels returning to Earth space.  Indeed, many crews find the Europa facilities preferable to the older station, with Von Braun's Lounge being a popular relaxation spot.
 Starbase Europa is also SFC's general discussion forum with boards open both to visitors and to members.  Lively debate can often be found in the crew lounge, or in the crew-only Recreation Deck.  You can also find a scheduled live chat in Von Braun's, SFC's new chat room.
